Privacy Policy for Content Studio Pro
Last Updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Content Studio Pro ("we", "us", or "the Service") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use the Content Studio Pro web application (the "Service") available at https://contentstudiopro.com/. Content Studio Pro is a multi-platform publishing tool that connects to TikTok and Instagram on your behalf, via the official OAuth flows provided by each platform.
1. Information Content Studio Pro Collects
When you use Content Studio Pro to publish content to a connected social media account (TikTok or Instagram), Content Studio Pro processes the following information:
- OAuth access tokens issued by TikTok or by Meta (for Instagram) after you authorize Content Studio Pro to act on your behalf.
- Basic profile information from TikTok (display name, avatar, open id, union id) returned by the
user.info.basicscope, used only to identify the connected creator inside the Content Studio Pro dashboard. - Basic profile information from Instagram (id, username, profile picture URL, account type) returned by the
instagram_business_basicscope, used only to identify the connected Instagram creator inside the Content Studio Pro dashboard. - Video files you upload to Content Studio Pro for publication. For TikTok the bytes are streamed directly to TikTok's Content Posting API; for Instagram the bytes are temporarily cached on our backend for up to one hour so that Instagram's Graph API can pull them, then automatically purged.
- Captions, privacy level selections, commercial-content disclosures, and "share to feed" preferences you enter for each post.
2. How Content Studio Pro Uses Your Information
Content Studio Pro uses the information described above strictly to:
- Authenticate you with TikTok and Instagram via OAuth 2.0.
- Display your connected creator profile in the Content Studio Pro dashboard so you can confirm the right account is linked.
- Forward your video, caption, privacy choice, and disclosure flag to the TikTok Content Posting API to either publish directly (
video.publish) or send the post to your TikTok inbox as a draft (video.upload). - Forward your video and caption to the Instagram Graph API to publish a Reel (
instagram_business_content_publish).
Content Studio Pro does not use your data for advertising, profiling, training of AI models, or any purpose unrelated to publishing the content you submit.
3. Sharing of Information
Content Studio Pro does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your information is shared only in the following circumstances:
- With TikTok, to perform the API calls you initiate (publish a video, save a draft, query your basic profile information).
- With Meta / Instagram, to perform the API calls you initiate (publish a Reel, query your basic Instagram profile information).
- With our hosting provider Render, which runs the Content Studio Pro backend (Frankfurt, EU).
- When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Content Studio Pro and its users.
4. Data Retention
Content Studio Pro keeps your OAuth access tokens only for the duration of your active browser session. Tokens are stored in your browser's session storage and are discarded when you close the tab. TikTok video files are streamed directly to TikTok and are never stored on our servers. Instagram video files are temporarily cached on our backend for up to one hour to allow Instagram's Graph API to pull them, and are automatically purged from memory immediately after the publication succeeds (or after 60 minutes if the request is abandoned).
5. Your Rights
Because Content Studio Pro acts as a thin client between you and the connected platforms, the most reliable way to revoke access is to remove Content Studio Pro from each platform's authorized apps list:
For TikTok:
- Open the TikTok mobile app -> Settings and privacy -> Security and login -> Manage apps
- Find Content Studio Pro and tap Disconnect
For Instagram:
- Open the Instagram mobile app -> Settings and activity -> Apps and websites (or Website permissions)
- Locate Content Studio Pro and tap Remove
You may also request deletion of any data associated with your use of Content Studio Pro by visiting our dedicated page at contentstudiopro.com/data-deletion or by writing to us at the address below. You also have the right, under applicable data protection law, to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data, and to object to data processing.
6. Security
Content Studio Pro uses HTTPS for all traffic. OAuth client secrets are stored only as environment variables on the server and are never exposed to the browser. The backend service refuses to start if the secrets are missing.
7. Children's Privacy
Content Studio Pro is not intended for users under the age of 13 (or under 16 where applicable). Content Studio Pro does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
Content Studio Pro may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated through the website.
